A new building in timber was built on the grounds of Barker College in Sydney. HESS TIMBER GmbH, a company of the HASSLACHER group, was responsible for the timber construction planning, the production of the glued laminated timber elements and their delivery to Australia. The Australian construction company Buildcorp was responsible for the overall planning and execution. The two upper floors of the so-called ""Barker College Maths and Student Hub"" were built using timber frame construction with cross laminated timber ceilings on top.

For this project, the HASSLACHER group supplied around 600 m³ of glued laminated timber from the Kleinheubauch site. At the factory the glued laminated timber parts have already been painted and fitted with the steel parts required for installation at the final destination. The high degree of prefabrication contributed to a simple, fast and economical assembly on site.
