EUCO Wolfsberg has been offering a regional shopping experience in the Lavanttal area for more than 50 years and strengthens local businesses through regional partner companies and showcasing products from the region. The EUCO has been slowly modernized over the years, however, in 2024, the Rutter Immobilien Group, the new owner, invested in a massive renovation in collaboration with the tenants. As a result, the look of the shopping center on Klagenfurter Straße, which has existed since 1972, will change, as will the entrances to the shops, which will be almost completely accessible from the outside after the renovation.
The architects created the future trademark of the EUCO Wolfsberg with an artistic roof made of wood - the wave roof in the entrance area. For this ""eye-catcher"" 70 m³ of special glued laminated timber components were necessary, which were shaped by the company HASSLACHER Holzbausysteme GmbH using the arched presses and joinery experience. These beams were covered with around 260 m² of multi-layer solid wood panels.
