In the north of Oxford, various extensions were built on the grounds of St. Edward's School between 2018 and 2020 under the leadership of the renowned architectural firm TSH Architects.
In addition to a new concert hall, a three-storey building – the "The Christie Centre" – was also built, which consists of a series of modern and flexible teaching and working spaces, a library and the "Roe Reading Room" on the top floor. The “Roe Reading Room” stands out due to its unusual architecture, as the roof construction is made of high-quality glulam oak – designed, engineered, and assembled by The Green Oak Carpentry Company Ltd and manufactured and CNC machined by HASSLACHER group.
