"Wood in the garden"

In mid-June, the "Wood in the Garden" show garden with a focus on promoting wood as a building material in relation to the climate was ceremoniously opened at the "Die Garten Tulln" National Garden Festival.

The centerpiece of the garden is the jointly constructed show terrace in the form of a curved walkway. This is supported by a backbone of glued laminated timber (Larch) in the dimension 20 x 24 cm and was supplied by HASSLACHER NORICA TIMBER. In addition, different decking constructions, products and their weathering will be on display on 74 test plots. Among them are the "comfort plank" and the "thermal plank" from the HASSLACHER Group. The project was coordinated and implemented on the initiative of the Verband der Europäischen Hobelindustrie (VEH) together with the Fachverband der Holzindustrie Österreichs. Scientific support for the project was provided by Holzforschung Austria - Österreichische Gesellschaft für Holzforschung.
