      The x-bionic® sphere in western Slovakia, which opened in 2014, was created as a center for sport, leisure and innovation. It has become the Olympic training center for Slovakia. In the middle of this ultra-modern and multidisciplinary Hipo Arena Šamorín, is one of the largest equestrian facilities in Europe. The facility is designed for events in jumping, dressage, eventing, endurance riding, vaulting and driving. This center includes three grass, two indoor and three clay courts, an all-weather racecourse (1,650 m), 680 fixed horse boxes and multi-purpose halls, hotels, conference buildings and a University.

      The riding arena itself, with a floor area of 52.5 mx 200.5 m, is the largest facility on the Hipoarena Šamorín area. The main structure consists of a three-hinged frame made of glued laminated timber, which is arranged at a distance of 5 m. The roof pitch is around 18 ° and the height of the three-hinged frame is around 15.2 m. Approximately in the middle of the building, the construction is extended by an extension, the total building width is around 60 m. A total of around 1,300 m³ of glued laminated timber was used for this property , including around 1,040 m³ in special shapes for the three-hinged frame.
