The recently opened e-charging station for cars in Spittal a. d. Drau (AT) combines the HASSLACHER group's extensive range of services under a roof fitted with photovoltaic panels.

The construction consists of cross laminated timber and glued laminated timber components. NORITEC Holzindustrie GmbH in Stall im Mölltal (AT) produced 5 m³ of spruce cross laminated timber in visible quality and also provided it with the necessary joinery. At the HASSLACHER group's site in Hermagor, 24 m³ of spruce glued laminated timber in visible quality was produced and the column frames pre-assembled to keep the assembly time on the construction site as short as possible.

A special thing to note is that the connections in the frame corners were made as so-called rod dowel circles. The column base was rigidly connected to the foundation using a sheet steel connection. Attention was also paid to structural timber protection by maintaining a distance of at least 30 cm between the end grain and the water-bearing level.

Thanks to the high degree of prefabrication, the timber construction could be erected in just four days. The HASSLACHER group's services included not only the production of the timber construction including photovoltaic elements, inverters and connection to the transformer station, but also the assembly, carried out by Holzbau Hofer GmbH. Vivatro GmbH was responsible for the installation of the PV elements, inverters and the connection to the transformer station, as well as all electrical work.
