The sports hall was awarded the 1st prize as a timber construction project of the year 2018. This competition is being tendered by the Association of Woodworkers of the Slovak Republic to promote the use of timber as the renewable raw material of the 21st century in the construction industry. The jury's assessment: "Very sophisticated and perfectly executed timber construction and an inspiring demonstration that indoor sports facilities made of timber can also be built in Slovakia."
