Old carpentry skills paired with innovative know-how were successfully applied in the University of Witten-Herdecke's new building.
A truss is always used where large spans are required with the lowest possible material consumption. Timber provides the ideal conditions for this, because high strength meets low density. The services provided by HASSLACHER Holzbauteile GmbH included the production of glued laminated timber, the pre-assembly of the steel structure as well as the connecting means for 6 pieces of the trusses including their delivery directly to the construction site.
